Tip of the day: don’t compare yourself to others!
People learn in different ways and at different rates. You may extract different elements from Tai Chi than someone else. Some people are good at learning the moves of Tai Chi, but their minds are racing a mile a minute. Others can physically embody the mind-body concepts, but find it a challenge to coordinate the movements.
I often tell my students that Tai Chi is a journey. Whether you know 3 movements or 24, in the end you are still practicing tai chi…so be patient with yourself, there is no hurry, and there is no end. If someone knows more movements than you it doesn’t mean their tai chi is better.
